Recount Text

                                                             

             

    Hello everyone, my name is Namira Hasnalma Aisyah and I am from 27 Senior High School Class X Science 3. So, today I want to tell you about recount text and my recount text when i meet my idol.

Recount text is a text that telling the reader about one story, action or activity. Its purpose is to entertain or informing the reader. Or a text which retells event or experiences in the past.The writers should remember that while the purpose is to retell they still need to craft their retelling to be interesting to the reader.  Rather than retelling every minor detail, the writer needs to select important information or events, and expand on these in an interesting manner.  If you were recounting a sports day, you could focus on the place, time, events, and results (which may be appropriate for a report), but to interest, the reader thinks about what would lift this above the dreary detail - What was the highlight of the day for you?  How did you feel when you tripped just before the finish line?  Did anything funny or surprising occur?

The generic structure:

1. Orientation : It gives the readers the background information needed to understand the text, such as who was involved, where it happened, and when it happened.

2. Events : A series of events, ordered in a chronological sequence

3. Re-orientation :A personal comment about the event or what happened in the end. 

The characteristics or language feature of recount text:

1.	Using the simple past tense, past continuous tense, past perfect tense, and past perfect continuous tense.
2.	frequent use is made of words which link events in time, such as next, later, when, then, after, before, first, at the same time, as soon as she left, late on Friday, On Saturday. On Monday, On Sunday).
3.	Focus on a specific participant, e.g. I (the writer).
4.	Using the conjunctions, such as: then, before, after, etc.
5.	Using an action verb, e.g. went, stayed.
6.	the passive voice may be used, eg. the bottle was filled with ink (Factual Recount).

 Recount text meeting my idol:

          

Orientation:

     Coboy Junior was my favorite boygroup when i was in my elementary school.  Back then, when i was in my elementary school the group was very famous and everybody likes them including me. The group has four members, Bastian, Aldi, Kiki, and Iqbal. I never imagined that i really can meet them in real life. When i was in my 4th grade in elementary school, my twin friend inviting me to came to their birthday party in their house. I was really happy to be invited by them and when i open the invitation card, it says that Coboy Junior would be the guests in their party, I was very happy, excited, but also nervous. Back then, I really couldn't wait for the day to came.

Event:

  The day has comes. The party was held after school, so after school I straightly went home and took a shower then wore my favorite dress there. When I was arrived at my friends house, The boy has not arrived yet so, i just playing with my friends and took a little tour in their house. Finally, the party started, the mc started to talked about the intro and invited my friend to went up to the stage and the introducing section started. It took a while before the mc finally called the boys. Finally, their name has called by the mc.

    They started to went down from the stairs, waving to us and finally took a seat in the stage with my birthday friend. They started introducing themselves and they congratulating my friends about their birthday. After that, they started to performing their song in the stage. Many of us screaming and i can saw that everybody was so happy. After they performing, the mc held a photo section so every each of us could took a photo of us. My turn has comes, I really standing behind the members with my accecories that i took and yup we finally could took a photo together, they were really nice. I was really happy that i finally can met my idol and I would never forgot about it.

Reorientation:

    In summary, my first time meeting my idol was unforgettable. I really happy to finally can met my idol and took a photo with them. I would like and hope to meet my other idol in my life for another opportunity.
