Announcement

Hello everyone, my name is Namira Hasnalma Aisyah and im form 27 Senior High School class X Science 3. So today i will tell you about announcement.

An announcement is a statement made to the public or to the media which gives information about something that has happened or that will happen. Or a written or spoken statement that tells people about something.

Announcement function is printed to make know that has happened or what will happened. It also give information to do something for public, or just giving an information to us just for knowing about something that we needs to be announced.

Announcement generic structure is:
1. Title of the announcement
2. Day, date and time
3. Place
4. Contact person
5. Who is addresed

There are two types of announcement such as
a. Formal announcement: The announcement usually use more formal language. For serious matter we better use formal announcement.
For example like a cancellation of some event.
b. Informal announcement: The announcement usually use casual style.
For example like school festival, invitation to a birthday party.

Generally, there are several things that can be used as main topic of announcement text:
a. Events
b. Missing persons / animals / items
c. Winners of a competition
d. Job vacancy
e. Sad news
f. Inauguration / marriage / birth
g. New products
